Pablo Sanchez. Pablo is without question the most athletic backyard kid to ever grace the playing fields of Backyard Sports. Although his forte is baseball, he also excels in every sport that he plays. The only backyard kid in contention with him is Jocinda Smith. But she doesn't count because she was discontinued, which makes no sense. Pablo's stats are pretty much maxed out in everything, except for pitching in baseball.
Pablo is from Mexico and speaks fluent Spanish. Although claiming he speaks no English, we find that he admits to speaking fluent English but prefers Spanish while playing baseball. This can be unlocked with a cheat. Don'tby his short, fat, unathletic appearance. Pablo is the best player you can have on your team. Pablo's nickname is "secret weapon", which fits well because he is fat and short, but extremely talented.

Better Than the Rest
I think it's fair to say that Backyard Baseball 2003 was the greatest of the Backyard games. Although a little outdated, this game is a true classic, and the most fun. The main feature of the game, along with the other games, is the kid versions of each player. There are 30 kid-sized major league players and 30 fictional players. These fictional players appear in all the Backyard games and are well known throughout the series. There is one major league player from each team in this game, including Ichiro, Barry Bonds, and Ken Griffey Jr.
The game features a season mode, where you can form a team and control it throughout the season, hopefully making it to the Backyard World Series. There is also a single game mode where you can play a quick pickup game, or change the rules to how you want. Finally, there is batting practice, which is a very fun way to waste time. You simply pick a player and choose which type of pitches you want. Then you can hit till you get bored, with pitches supplied from Mr. Clanky the robot.

The History of Backyard Sports
This legendary series of videogames first started in 1992 with its first release: Super Pablo Sanchez. Until Backyard Baseball came along in 1997, there were games such as Backyard Golf, Backyard Adventures, and Super Pablo Sanchez 2. Up until '97, the series consisted of these seemingly random and little known tiltes. These games were mostly intended for children between 5 and 12 years old.
But the series really started in 1997 when Humongous Entertainment took over. This is when they started producing the real Backyard Sports games, with the first Backyard Baseball that year. In 1998 came Backyard Soccer, the first soccer game from Backyard Sports. Possibly the biggest introduction in '98 was the Backyard kids that continue to represent the games today. Some of the most well known ar Pablo Sanchez, Jocinda Smith, and Pete Wheeler. Also in 1998 came the takeover of Infogrames, and then the first Backyard Football in '99. Finally in 2001, came the introduction of real professional athletes in Backyard Basketball 2001. This game featured Kevin Garnett and Lisa Leslie. Since then, the series has continued to update all these games up until 2010 so far.
